Bedaux de Brouwer | Renkum
Last week I went to Renkum, on assignment for Kalliste, to take photographs of a project they have initiated together with the municipality. The project, ‘t Haeghendal, was designed by Peer and Thomas Bedaux of Bedaux de Brouwer architects.
A thing I really admire and what can be seen in the photographs above, is the amount of attention they pay to the details of their projects. I especially appreciate the narrow, vertical windows.
MVRDV | Effenaar | Eindhoven
Last week during the day of architecture I visited some projects. On my way to one of the locations I took some photographs of the De Effenaar, designed by MVRDV.
I have visited the poppodium on several occassions, but never got round to take any photographs.
bkrs crane systems | Veghel
For today I was commissioned by Edhv to shoot a company reportage, both showing the exterior of the building as a whole as well as the way the products are made: handling cranes. BKRS is very proud of their product and, in my opinion, rightfully so. As you can see by the size of the person grinding some steel, those beams are huge.
single family villa | Eindhoven
About a week ago I visited some recently completed architecture. Somewhere in Eindhoven I encountered this impressive, finely detailled villa. I’m not sure who designed it or who lives here, but I like it. I can really appreciated good detailling.
In the coming weeks I will do some more research, see if I can find out more…
just a walk ‘in’ the park
Last week I shot some abstracts of these buildings in the evening, when the sun was setting. I wanted to shoot the buildings from this side as well. Today was a sunny, cloudless day. Perfect. I went this morning, together with my little girl. We walked in the park, she watched the ducks and I took the pictures.
Wiel Arets | Valid Tower | Eindhoven
Today was beautiful day, a day to go out shooting. I decided to visit and shoot some recently completed projects. This is an abstract from a slender 13 floor office tower in Eindhoven, designed by Wiel Arets.
cherish the light and the shadows
Last Friday I revisited a location for one of my clients. I was here last October, with lovely winter light, but my client did not like the soft light. He preferred the harsher and more direct summer light.
From this angle I wanted to give the house enough room on both sides and show the surroundings and spacious driveway. I really like the fact that the hard light gives really great shadows of the trees standing right behind me.
I chose a 16:9 crop, allowing the shot to get more emphasis on the wide angle.
Today I received a call from my client saying they were pleasantly surprised by the new pictures.
in his eyes | a sight divine
cassandra series #II
Last Saturday I finally had some time to shoot some architectural abstracts. I was at the Cassandraplein in Eindhoven. Recently an apartment building designed by Arn Meijs Architekten was completed here. I took my time to align the lines just right, transforming the 3D building into a 2D plane. The blue sky and the golden hour light helped to bring out and accentuate the details.
